Pastor Danny Laws was raised in Hudson, NC and attended Cajah's Mountain Baptist Church where he accepted Christ at the age of twelve. Following his graduation from South Caldwell High School in 1980, he worked for Broyhill Furniture Industry for 11 years and eventually worked in the restaurant business and other venues. God called him to preach the Gospel in 1990, and in the following months, he began attending West Lenoir Bible Institute where he received his Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies. After moving to Stanly County, he served in Montgomery County for 11 years and has served in South Albemarle since 2009. Pastor Danny and his wife, Renee, enjoy teaching marriage conferences and other discipleship studies. Renee enjoys speaking to women when she has the opportunity.

Pastor Danny and Renee have been married for 38 years. They have one daughter, Crystal (husband, Dave), 2 sons, Joshua (wife, Kirsten), Derek (wife, Elizabeth), and 7 grandchildren: Judah, Josten, Ava, Kinleigh, Max, Chloe, and James.
