Psalm 46 Devotion by Renee Laws

Psalm 46 (NLT)
1-God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.
2-So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.
6-The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders and the earth melts!
10-“Be still and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
11-The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us, the God of Israel is our fortress.

Our nation is in total chaos! Disputes, destruction, dishonesty, disgust!! But... God is still God!

God is our refuge! It is so very easy to watch the news, (which I can’t even do right now) and become overwhelmed by what is happening around us. But we must remember that even in the midst of all of this, God’s children have hope! A hope of what is to come. A hope of heaven. A hope of an everlasting live with God. Our hope is not in this world. But while we are here, we are to shine brighter than ever in this darkness. We are to find that place of quiet and be still and know that He is God.

He is our fortress! He is to be honored!
